The first cruise ships of the season arrive in Halifax Tuesday, April 26, as our COVID wave continues to infect more than 1,000 people per day. Is it too soon for cruise ships to come to Halifax?
Yes, it's too soon. Haligonians are a COVID risk to the cruisers, and they're a risk to us.
No, it's not too soon. Cruisers know the risks, and things can't get any worse in Halifax.
We need those tourism dollars so badly, you shouldn't even ask the question. If only they could have come last month.
These ships are a blight on the ocean and shouldn't ever be allowed in Halifax, pandemic or not.
